This riverside museum in the village of Leland has extensive exhibits and archives about the settlement and development of the Leelanau Peninsula and its nearby islands. Special displays include Leelanau domestic arts, traditional native arts, and an exhibit on the Manitou Passage State Underwater Preserve. The museum store offers a selection of items by local artists. Open year round; call for hours.
